The very first google tweet was transmitted on February 26, 2009. It was a binary code meaning “I am feeling lucky”. Google has between 65 and 70 percent of the market share for internet search engines. When an internet search is done, the search results are listed, and can contain thousands, or sometimes even millions, of results. The lists can span several pages, but most people only consider the websites listed on the first page.

Websites can increase their position on the search engine rankings through the use of search engine optimization, or SEO. Through the use of high quality website content, and the strategic placement of key search words, SEO can help websites appear higher up on the list of internet search results.

SEO reporting is available to help keep track of search engine rankings. Seo reporting will show whether the goals are being met for the website. When designing websites, it is important that they are easily accessible and run well on mobile devices as well as on pcs. Almost half (48 percent of all mobile device users have said that they research products and look for promotions or discounts using their mobile devices.
